My 1967 Pontiac Firebird Convertible Project

About The Project

This was purchased as a complete running and driving car. I was looking for a 1966/1967 GTO at the time and ran across this…and bought it locally. The car had an original 326 V8 and factory 4 speed manual transmission. I drove the car as is (except for a new clutch and headers) for a long time (over 30 years). See the before, during and after pictures. The car deteriorated over the years when I decided to update it a bit. The original color of Verdoro Green was changed to black…with a black interior and black convertible top. A co-worker at the time worked on older cars in his off-time. We settled on a deal to fix the rust that had occurred in various locations and to paint the car…at his leisure. This part actually took about 14 months to complete…and well worth it. The rest of the refurbishing took the rest of the second year. The car turned out really nice. See the before, during and after pictures.
